The anti-collision kit, offered by the French company AMCS, is an automatic and 3D tool for managing and preventing tower and mobile crane collisions on construction sites.
The smart control system automatically cautions of a collision and warns of an immediate danger before it occurs, thus enabling preventive action.
The system precisely detects the possible collision between the crane arm nearing another crane, calculates the point at which anti-collision preventive action is needed and takes the necessary action. These systems can be installed in all types of cranes, for 3D management of up to 125 cranes, tower cranes and/or mobile cranes, operating at the same site and that may interfere with each other.
The anti-collision system is also built for installation on mobile cranes, which comprise part of the array of cranes on construction sites. This provides a significant technological advantage of a system able to detect and alert when movement of the mobile crane endangers other cranes, or the mobile crane itself.
In addition, construction sites often border on public areas such as main roads, train tracks and schools, or are in the vicinity of limiting elements such as power lines passing above the site.
These areas are known as “exclusion zones”. The crane anti-collision system has an “air defense” function that prevents excess movement of the load carried by the crane towards the borders of the exclusion zone. Thus it enables the crane operator to work without almost any limitations and with full confidence.
